SOUTH BLOOMING GROVE — Town police are looking for at least one person who burglarized a Pine Hill Road home last night between 6:30 and 9:30. The burglary entered the house by forcing a door open and stole a flat screen TV, an Xbox 360, a flat screen computer monitor and a Sentry fire safe with credit cards and family heirlooms, said Blooming Grove Detective Brett Weeden. A Labrador bit the burglar as the dog was being locked in a back room. The bite was probably on the hand or arm and left behind a “substantial amount of blood,” Weeden said. Police will use the blood for DNA evidence but are also looking for witnesses that may have noticed suspicious activity in the area last night. Anyone with information can call 496-9161. |
