Blooming Grove Burglar breaks into Barnes Road home

Blooming Grove police are asking the public's help as they track down a burglar who broke into a home in the Tappan Hill section of the town either Friday or yesterday morning. The suspect apparently entered the home by cutting through the screen of the back porch door, then forcing open a locked window. As of yesterday afternoon, the owners of the home reported at least one gold watch stolen. Detectives advise residents to look for the distribution of suspicious jewelry or cash. No electronic appliances, such as TVs, DVD players or radios were stolen, police said. Anyone with information should call 496-9161.
