BLOOMING GROVE — A Blooming Grove police officer was among the injured in a two-car
collision on Route 208 around 8:45 last night.

State police Trooper Scott Bauman said Blooming Grove police Officer Trevor Peachey, 31, was
northbound on 208 with his lights and sirens on when he attempted to pass other northbound
vehicles by using the southbound passing lane. Peachey was en route to a domestic incident at
the time.

As he proceeded north, one car driven by Theresa O’Connell, 33, of Lake Shore Drive,
attempted to make a left turn onto that street and collided with Peachey’s cruiser, sending it
spinning into a guardrail. O’Connell’s 15-year-old daughter was a passenger in her vehicle.

All three victims were taken to the Arden Hill campus of Orange Regional Medical Center. None
of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

Bauman said charges are pending.
