12-year-old Blooming Grove girl was in guarded condition last night at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla after being hit by a car, Blooming Grove police said. Erienne Batista was playing outside her home on Cardinal Road about 5 p.m. when she ran in front of a Subaru Legacy driven by 19-year-old Christopher Gannon, Detective Sgt. John Heppes said. The girl suffered internal injuries and was airlifted to Westchester, Heppes said. Gannon, who lives in Washingtonville, was treated for cuts and bruises at the Arden Hill campus of Orange Regional Medical Center, police said. A preliminary investigation showed Gannon was not at fault in the accident. |
