Blooming Grove — A 91-year-old woman was critically injured yesterday when the car she was riding in was hit by another car. Gladys Obrien of Central Valley was in the front seat of an Oldsmobile driven by her son, Mark Obrien, 64, when he turned left from Mountain Road onto Route 208 and into the path of another car, police said. A Honda driven by Florence Honig, , 71, of Monroe, hit the Oldsmobile. Gladys Obrien was flown by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center. Mark Obrien was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Honig was taken to the Arden Hill campus of Orange Regional Medical Center. Police said the cause of the accident was Obrien's failure to yield. Raja Abdulrahim |
