Blooming Grove - A dozen convicts were arrested last week on probation violations
and other crimes during visits to 33 homes in Blooming Grove and Washingtonville,
Orange County officials announced yesterday. During their sweep, teams of sheriff’s deputies,
probation officers and local police officers confiscated 19 illegal weapons
– 14 guns and five knives – and filed 11 felony weapons charges, officials said.
The visits also resulted in 11 charges for possession of illegal narcotics.
